Henderson joins New Country 104.1 KXDD, but he's no stranger to Washington. Henderson moves here from Kennewick, where he has been finishing his BA in Digital Technology & Culture at Washington State University, Tri-Cities.

"Go Cougs!"

A father of five daughters, Henderson spends a lot of his time cleaning up after them when he's not on the air at KXDD. If he's not in the studio or at home, you can find Henderson on the Yakima River in pursuit of his next catch. An avid fisherman and outdoors enthusiast, either he's in his waders or on his kayak hoping for action during the warmer months.

"I hit the lower river for some bass in the warm summer months while floating, hit the wonderful trout territories north of Yakima, but I love the fall Chinook run standing in the shadows of the wineries in Prosser," Henderson said. "Of course, I love pulling in a spring hog from the mud flats near Bateman's Island on the Columbia River. Those 20-30 pounders will eat anything and are a lot of fun to catch fishing from my kayak."

Henderson has also been known to island hop on Rimrock Lake during the late summer.

Henderson moved from Washington from Tampa Bay in south Florida, where he worked for Cox Media Group. He was on-air at WSUN 97X, WPOI 101.5 The Point, and gave traffic reports on all six CMG stations in the Tampa market. Before CMG, Henderson was heard weekends on WWGR, Gator Country 101.9 in Ft. Myers, FL; WESP Dothan, AL; KZRK Amarillo, TX; and KCLR Columbia, Missouri.
